SCTL Captains

SCTL score cards place data directly into the SCTL database, which makes the data
immediately available for viewing as well as providing up to date team totals.
Three basic data-input tests are conducted on the score card data before
posting: first is
to ensure the assigned Match ID is used, since all data usage and display is
tied to that number; second is to ensure eight (or six as appropriated) match players for each team are entered yet none is entered twice or
ignored (entered as a blank); third is that the scores are consistent with
'tennis scoring' , e.g. 6-5 will reject. |
| There is a major point of emphasis
when using the score card: the 10 point tie break in lieu of a third set is scored 7-6 or 6-7,
by SCTL rules. The USTA's use of 1-0 is not adopted by SCTL and will
be rejected by the score card. | |
Entry errors
will be automatically noted with an offer that you correct erroneous data before
resubmitting. Use the web browser's
'back' arrow (<--) to return to the score card, make needed
corrections, and submit again.
