The Brevard Chapter of the
USPTA is hosting a free tennis clinic Saturday, February 13 from
10-noon at the Rockledge Park Tennis Courts off of Barton Road
in Rockledge. The USPTA is the world’s oldest and largest
association of certified tennis teaching professionals. Many of
Brevard’s top tennis teaching professionals will be on hand for
this clinic. The courts will be broken down into stations
featuring world class instruction on a variety of strokes, a
fast serve radar gun court, and a serve-return court featuring
the Playmate Serving Machine used by many of today’s top playing
professionals to practice the return of serve. The serving
machine can throw lefty and righty slices and kicks as well as
120 mph flat serves. The clinic is open to all ability levels
and ages. There will also be a “pro-start” court offering
instruction to small children or children new to the game.
